Horse Show

The horse club of Rethymnon "Agios Georgios" and the Region of Crete co-organize the 21st equestrian meeting of Yiorgalid horses.
Yiorgalid horse is a domestic horse breed native of Crete, which exists on the island at least since the Preminoan era, it is considered the oldest breed in Europe.

The event will take place on August 21 at the racecourse located in Gerani, Rethymno.
The starting time is set at 9:30 and the entrance for spectators will be free

In more detail the programme of the event is as follows:
- 09.30: Arrival of the horses,
- 10.00: Registration of entries (horses and riders),
- 10.30: Presentation of participants and welcome of visitors with a treat of traditional products
- 11.30: Start of the horse pacing demonstration.
