Amari Green Festival is back on July 22-25
The festival is advocating for preserving tradition and moving forward in the development of the region, with a particular emphasis on sustainable development.
Most of the events of the Amari Green Festival 2022 will take place at the School of Asomaton - at the Panakron Estate - in the center of the Municipality of Amari, while many parallel activities and events will take place in the villages of the Municipality.
Artistic and musical events will entertain locals and visitors every night! A musical tribute to Miki Theodorakis "Miki ... of the poets". Narration: Anna Psarra. Song: Erofili and Argyro Kaparou. Piano: Kostas Giannakis. Concert and traditional folk music with Maria Koti and her group on the theme "I am also written in the cards". Concert by Georgia Dagaki, all at Ktima Panakron, and a theatrical performance entitled "Theros, Eros, Hero" based on two dramatized short stories by Alexandros Papadiamantis. Direction - Adaptation: Lilly Meleme at the Apostoloi Theatre. On the last evening at the Panacron Estate do not miss an evening of singing music, and dancing by the young people of Amari.

Through guided tours, the Festival participants will have the opportunity to get to know the unique cave "Notiki Hole" Paul Faure in the village of Nithavri, walk in the vineyard of Amari in the village of Patsos, to experience the authentic custom and the traditional technique of "shearing the sheep" in the village of Pantanassa, to tour the rare Byzantine Temples in the village of Meronas, to learn about the traditional fabrics in the village of Kouroutes.In the framework of the Festival, a special event will be held on the theme "A journey in space and time of the local Church in the Municipality of Amari", which will be followed by a photo exhibition with the most important images from the Churches and Landscapes and a presentation on the theme "Legends and traditions, lost stories connected to the customs of Amari villages with place names and relics that we have".
