6th Festival of Philharmonic, Choral and Music Ensembles

The 6th Festival of Philharmonic, Choral, and Music Ensembles is returning to Rethymno, bringing with it a celebration of beautiful music and talented performers. 

Saturday, August 31st, at the Unknown Soldier Square, it will come alive with the sounds of two exceptional music groups.

Musikos Karpos, with support from the Region of Crete, is proud to present the second part of this beloved festival.

Music lovers are in for a treat as they experience a truly unique musical event under the stars of Rethymno's night sky.

The festival will feature two outstanding ensembles. We are honored to welcome the Mesa Gitonia Limassol Cyprus Philharmonic Orchestra, bringing their rich musical traditions from Cyprus to our stage. Joining them will be the Choir of Musiko Karpo, known for their beautiful harmonies and passionate performances.

This special evening will also include a touching tribute to Eleni Zioga, a talented actress, screenwriter, and lyricist. Her moving lyrics for the Mega series "Famagusta" have captured the hearts of viewers across Greece. The song "I don't Forget (The Agnoumenos)" and other pieces from the series have become particularly cherished, and we're excited to recognize her contributions to Greek culture.
