7th Festival of Philharmonic Orchestras, Choirs & Music Ensembles in Rethymno

Rethymno proudly welcomes back the 7th Festival of Philharmonic Orchestras, Choirs, and Music Ensembles, a celebration of music and culture that brings together talented performers from across Crete and beyond.

Mousikos Karpos organizes the event in collaboration with the Region of Crete.

This vibrant musical gathering will occur at Unknown Soldier’s Square, Friday, July 11, 20:15 - 22:30,  Saturday, July 12, 20:15 - 22:15,  and on Sunday, July 13, 20:15 - 22:30, where audiences will experience various musical performances. From the powerful sounds of philharmonic bands to the harmonious voices of choirs and the unique styles of various music groups, the square will be filled with melodies that speak to the heart of every music lover.

Visitors can look forward to enjoying an exciting mix of musical genres — from classical pieces and traditional Greek tunes to modern songs and contemporary arrangements. It’s a perfect opportunity for people of all ages to explore different styles of music in a setting that blends beauty and cultural history.

Rethymno, a city known for its rich artistic tradition and deep appreciation of the arts, is honored to host one of Crete’s most cherished music festivals for the seventh consecutive year. The festival is supported by the Holy Metropolis of Rethymno and Avlopotamos, the Rethymno Chamber of Commerce, KTEL Rethymno-Chania, the Municipality of Rethymno, Minos Hotel, and is held under the auspices and financial support of the Ministry of Culture.

Don’t miss this special celebration of sound and community in the heart of Rethymno!

City of Rethymno

You are invited to travel to areas, which are perhaps still unknown to the majority, and which are sometimes remote, but always magical and magnificent throughout the seasons. We recommend our visitors to see our picturesque villages through the eyes of the soul, try the Cretan cuisine, our wine and “tsikoudia”, participate in our revelries and festivities, but most importantly get to know our soul, our hospitality, the safe, untouched interior of the region, the other Rethymno.
