In-Heritage Act
Presentation of the results of the In-Heritage Action for Accessibility, Culture, and Sustainable Tourism
An informative event for the presentation of the action entitled "Accessible Nature and Culture - Sustainable Tourism" and the acronym "In-Heritage", was organized by the Municipality of Rethymno, on Friday, October 20, at the town hall of the city.
The purpose of the event is the present the results of the In-Heritage Act implemented in the framework of the Interreg V -A Cooperation Programme Greece - Cyprus 2014 -2020 and in which the Municipality of Rethymno, the Municipalities of Agia Napa and Sotiras and the National Confederation of People with Disabilities.
The IN-HERITAGE Act aims to improve accessibility to natural and cultural sites in the three municipalities, to promote and promote these sites, and to develop common strategies and tools aimed at tourism for all.
Indicative results of the Act include the renovation of the Armeni olive press and the supply of accessibility equipment for its conversion into an exhibition space as well as the improvement of accessibility to other monumental sites of Rethymno, the development of common strategies and tools for the development of tourism for all, accessibility projects for people with disabilities and the supply of equipment for the beach, the port and event venues of the Municipality of Ayia Napa, as well as the upgrading of the Municipal Sea Museum, and finally, accessibility projects for people with disabilities in event venues of the Municipality of Sotiras.
