Petits Bonheurs
Experience an enchanting evening of French classical music on August 7, 2024, at 21:00 in the Pantelis Prevelakis Hall, Rethymno Conservatory.
Cellist Michael Häupel and pianist Dora Manitaki present a diverse program showcasing the beauty of French music. The concert opens with solo cello works: Gaspar Cassadó's Suite, blending Spanish elements with French impressionism and echoing Ravel's "Daphnis et Chloé," and Alexander Tcherepnin's Suite, infused with Asian musical influences. The second half features shorter pieces for cello and piano, exploring the melodies of Ravel, the elegance of Fauré and Saint-Saëns, and the lyricism of Chopin.
