Crete gained a prominent position in multisport events with ISOMAN presented by G-TRIMORE M.T. Rethymno! Crete and more specifically the historic and beautiful Rethymno wrote its own history in triathlon.
Between September 27-29 2019 the Municipality of Rethymno, the Region of Crete and TRIMORE - XTERRA Greece - ISOMAN Hellas, co-organized with great success and offered to the athletes and the visitors of our town a unique sports and leisure experience!
Sports, entertainment, culture, and tourism got together in an event that aspires to become an institution of national and international fame.
Triathletes, swimmers, runners and sports fans of all ages and levels, along with their families, lived unforgettable moments in the dynamic arena of Rethymno. Furthermore, they all had the chance to appreciate the unique charm and hospitality of Crete.
A new institution was born
“When joining forces with active citizens the benefits for the city are great”, said Mr. George Marinakis, Mayor of Rethymno. “Rethymno is a multi-thematic tourism destination for “high-end” visitors. I am happy that a very well organized event was held by the organizers in our city, with the valuable support from volunteers, authorities and city officials. The weather was also on our side! In this beautiful city, the athletes ran, cycled and swam into the clear waters of Rethymno beach. I hope to have again this unique opportunity to host such a great event in our city and this event to become an institution gaining more and more participants every year! "
