Ecclesiastical Byzantine Music

The Holy Metropolis of Rethymno is organizing a special concert to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the martyrdom of four saints from Rethymno - George, Angel, Manuel, and Nicholas.

The concert will feature the Choir of the School of Ecclesiastical Byzantine Music. Under the direction of Mr. Evangelos Kapaidonakis, the choir will perform hymns honoring the Four Holy Martyrs as well as hymns for Holy Week.

The concert is taking place on Saturday, April 27th, 2024 at 7:00 pm.

It will be held at the Holy Church of the Four Holy Martyrs located at the center of Rethymno next to central parking.

This musical event commemorates the sacrifice of the four saints from Rethymnon who were martyred 200 years ago.

Locals and visitors are invited to attend this special anniversary concert paying tribute to Rethymnon's holy martyrs through sacred music.

It promises to be a holly week cultural experience.
