Mosaics exhibition using Expired Pills
Incredible Mosaic art pieces, Created by doctor Eleni Ioannidou, using Expired Pills
mosaics using only expired pills provide a "Happy End" to those medications.
Beatiful mosaics created by Eleni Ioannidou, an infectious diseases specialist and the director of the Pathology Clinic of Rethymno Hospital
reflecting our world today, the Coronavirus pandemic.
Her original idea, however, dates back when Ioannidou operated a social pharmacy as a volunteer which gave medication to those in financial need.
Mosaics were made out of unused and ready-to-be-trashed pills
multicolor patterns shaped by the drugs that were ready to be destroyed and Eleni Ioannidou used them into “tools of art.”
Organized by: Rethymno Old Town Residents Association, Municipality of Rethymno - With the support of the Region of Crete, Rethymnon Regional Unit.
